The importance of vaccination

 Disney has released the first full-length trailer for Lilo & Stitch, its highly anticipated live-action pic

The extended look shows viewers what it's like to wish on a star and receive an extremely beautiful blue extraterrestrial creature. The live-action version follows Lilo, a lonely Hawaiian girl who only wants a best friend. After seeing a comet streak across the night sky, she makes a wish and finds herself face to face with Stitch, a dog-like blue extraterrestrial experiment. As they negotiate life together, the two learn the true meaning of "ohana," which means "family," and family means that no one is left behind or forgotten.

The plot is similar to the original 2002 animated picture, with the little orphan nurtured by her teenage sister Nani. Lilo forms a deep bond with Switch, called Experiment 626, who causes chaos throughout the tropical paradise. Nani may be heard stating in the trailer: "He is your responsibility. Have you got it? Lilo responds, "We promise!"

 

Dean Fleischer Camp directs the film, and Chris Sanders reprises his voice role of Stitch opposite Maia Kealoho as Lilo. The cast also includes Zach Galifianakis, Sydney Agudong, Billy Magnussen, and Courtney B. Vance. Lilo & Stitch hits theaters on May 23.
